CenturyLink

Sing with Kelvin

Picture a time before TikTok Duets
and electricity.

The campaign began as a nationwide TV buy reinforcing CenturyLink’s core belief that the digital world connects more than just people and places, it creates amazing possibilities.

Featuring a long distance duet between Kelvin Jones and an amateur singer, the spot brought that belief to life. Then we gave our audience the opportunity to reenact that connection through a social singing competition.

The #SingWithKelvinContest launched across social platforms encouraging people to share covers of “Call You Home,” the song from the TV spot. YouTube artists helped us get the word out, and entries came in from all over the country. The winner flew to London to sing a duet with Kelvin, bringing the campaign full circle and proving that the possibilities are endless with a little help from the Internet.

Meta, the artist formerly known as Facebook, made a case study about this campaign.

And my parents can't stop talking about this. Wherever they go, they blabber on about these metrics. Wakes, dentist appointments…parades. You name it. And I'm always like: moommmmmm. Stop it; you're embarrassing me. And she's all: Oh, stop it, Little Boogey Woogie Man. That's what she calls me. Her Little Boogey Woogie Man. Anyhoo. Where were we? The case study. That's right. Here it is.
